"Ocushield has reduced the glare from my computer screen and made it comfortable to work on duolingo for hours on end without losing my eyesight! I usually spend all afternoon on the computer and found it hard to read the words after a long session. Ocushield has ended all that and made it possible to stare at the screen for extended periods. I am 84 years old and my computer is my entertainment. Thanks, Ocushield!"

What’s that all about?
Blue light is a part of the visible light spectrum that’s not only present in sunlight, but in the light that comes from your digital devices, including your MacBook. Although blue light helps to keep us alert, it also has a number of unwelcome side effects.
Why is blue light so harmful?
Blue light penetrates our eyes, telling our brains that it’s time to wake up and get on with our day. So far, so good. Unfortunately though, prolonged exposure to blue light can cause a range of issues, from eye strain and headaches, to fatigue and a lack of focus.
Most notable is its inhibition of melatonin, a chemical that influences our sleep-wake cycle and helps us to drift off at night. By disrupting this cycle, blue light exposure can cause us to feel lethargic, irritable and unproductive. You might be understandably pumped to get your hands on the latest MacBook, but yikes!
How do I reduce the blue light from my MacBook?
Fortunately though, Ocushield’s blue light filters for MacBook Air and Pro block blue light before it gets to your eyes. This helps to keep them in tip-top condition, reducing dryness and facilitating focus.
Created by qualified optometrists, our FDA registered anti-blue light filters block up to 99% of damaging UV and blue light emissions between 300-400nm, and as much as 54% of harmful blue light between 400-470nm.
What’s more, by limiting your exposure to blue light before bed, Ocushield’s blue light filter for MacBooks will help you catch ZZZs and enjoy all the benefits of a good night’s kip.

Our sticky tabs are essential for applying our filters to your MacBook via one of the methods, allowing you to apply them to the screen and keep them in place. You can then remove and use the filter as you please.
Dip a microfiber cloth in a solution of water and vinegar (use less water than vinegar), then apply the damp cloth to the sticky surface.
Let the solution rest on the screen for a couple of minutes so that it can dissolve the adhesive effectively.
Now, you can easily rub off the sticky residue using the cloth.
We currently only offer screen protectors with an infused privacy filter, enabling you to work in peace and protect your eyes from prying screens.
Yes, if you can’t find a filter matching your screen size, you can buy a larger one and cut it down to fit. We do recommend that you use a stanley knife for the best fit though — and of course, be careful!
